SPEECH MODERATION : By John Odebode

It is true that the human tongue is very powerful. It is also true that most people who talk rather too much aren't reckoned with. There is a reason for that: the lack of control over the tongue. The degree to which one controls his/her tongue tells a lot about what one can handle.

THREE PRINCIPLES OF SPEECH MODERATION
• Think all you speak but speak not all you think: knowledge is knowing what to say, however, wisdom is knowing when and how to say it. This wouldn't mean anything if the words that come forth from our mouth were impotent. Death and life are in the power of the tongue,² hence there is need for you not to be rash with your mouth. If our words are so efficacious, there is need for us to make the conscious effort of thinking whatever we intend to say through before we utter them.read more
