Is this ‘alien fish’ really from another planet?

This ‘alien fish’ had a lot of people scratching their heads after it was caught earlier this week.
It was reeled in near Cabo, Mexico, by a surprised fisherman on the Dr Pescado boat.
He was so shocked by its pinkish raspy skin, small teeth and odd green eyes, he decided to throw it back into the water.

‘I was really surprised, but what caused most impact were the eyes, so strange,’ the boat’s captain Jaime Rendon told Pisces Sportfishing Fleet.

But it has now emerged the sea creature wasn’t from another planet (surprise) and is really a swell shark.
There was just something wrong with its pigmentation so it didn’t look like one.
But that explanation didn’t seem to be enough for Pisces Sportfishing Fleet, which added: ’Even if it is a swell shark, why is it this colour and why does it only have three gill slits?’
It finally admitted defeat when scientists told them it was in fact a swell shark.
