Kelechi Ihenacho secured next season's Champions League spot for Manchester City today in the final match of the 2015/2016 EPL season by scoring City's only goal against Swansea City thereby making his goal tally in the Premier League 8.
Although his goal which he scored in the 5th minute into the match was canceled by fellow African compatriot, Andre Ayew, it was enough to secure the one point they needed to qualify for participation in next season's Champions League.
Going into the match, Manchester United, whose match was postponed due to a bomb scare at the Old Trafford, still had a dim chance of clinching the spot should City lose against Swansea. City's draw means Manchester United has to score at least 19 goals in their yet-to-be-rescheduled match against AFC Bournemouth.
