The Nigerian Army, 2nd Division, has apprehended a fifty
four year old man, Obasola Adeleye in Ibadan for forging admission
letter of security agencies.
Obasola Adeleye was paraded at the Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo Barrack, Ibadan.
He was first arrested in 2014 by the Nigerian Army for impersonation, tried and subsequently jailed.
After he was released recently, he went back to crime and was arrested
by the military command for forging of the Nigerian Defence Academy,and
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps admission letters.
Speaking with journalists, the suspect said he was lured into the act due to the present economic situation of the country.
Parading the suspect, the Commander Military Police of 2nd
Division, Nigerian Army, Colonel Abdullahi Ibrahim said the suspect was
apprehended at Omi-Adio, Ibadan, when he promised to issue admission
letter to a former captain’s son and collected a huge amount of money.
Colonel Ibrahim called on job seekers to be careful while seeking for
employment as the country’s security agencies do not admit people
through individual but proper channels.
He added that the suspect would be handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation.
