Group blasts Obasanjo for comment about Jonathan

 

A coalition of civil society groups in the Niger Delta region has described Goodluck Jonathan as the best president Nigeria has had so far and criticised Olusegun Obasanjo for his comments. NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Obasanjo had reiterated that he was against Jonathan running for a second term in office as he had earlier promised not to seek a second term. Obasanjo said Jonathan showed he was incapable of handling the country’s apex position as he was always looking at the world from the prism of his Ijaw community.

Jose Mourinho described Manchester United’s jammed-packed schedule as “not human” after a growing injury list threatened to wreck hopes of a place in next season’s Champions League. Female corps member allegedly gets pregnant for governor

 

There are reports that a certain state governor has allegedly impregnated a female corps member serving in the state. According to Stella Dimokokorkus who reported the story without mentioning names for obvious reasons, the female corper was serving in the government house. However, one thing led to another and she became pregnant. She was allegedly flown abroad and some quarters even say she has even given birth to twin babies. What a way to serve the country!

Ex-governor Sule Lamido arrested for making inciting statements

 

Following his arrest and Sunday, April 30, the Nigerian Police Force has explained why the arrest and detention of former governor Sule Lamido was necessary. Lamido, according to the Kano state police spokesperson, Samba Sokoto, made some inciting statements during Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting in Dutse, Jigawa state. The ex-governor's alleged offence is contrary to Section 114 of the penal code and the police vowed to charge him to court after investigations.

Woman delivers baby boy on a train at London Bridge station

A Black woman was delivered of a baby boy on a train at the busy London Bridge station on Thursday evening, April 27. She, whose name is not yet known, went into labour on a Southeastern train before being helped onto the platform when it arrived at London Bridge. Realising the baby was on the way, an announcement was made for doctors and nurses to attend,before she was moved to a medical room. She gave birth to her son shortly after 4.30pm.

72-year-old grandmother graduates from the same university she dropped out from 55 years ago

72-year-old Darlene Mullins, a grandmother-of-four will be among the 800 students to graduate from Tennessee State University, TSU, on the 6th of May. Darlene will be receiving her degree 55 good years after she started at the institution.

Darlene began her studies in TSU campus in 1962, however, almost immediately, she fell in love with fellow student John Mullins, a senior from East St. Louis, Illinois, who she described as dashing, handsome and “everything to behold".

Second doctor and wife arrested in genital mutilation case in the US

US Federal agents arrested a second doctor and his wife Friday for their roles in female genital mutilation. Dr. Fakhruddin Attar is accused of letting Dr. Jumana Nagarwala perform mutilations at his Burhani Medical Clinic on Farmington Road. His wife, office manager Farida Attar, also was arrested and is accused of helping Nagarwala perform the mutilations, according to a 14-page complaint unsealed Friday in a US federal court.

U.S based Nigerian mother marries her female partner

 

A Nigerian lesbian woman, Moji Solar-Percy, married her American female partner in the US, some days ago. Solar-Percy is a Real Estate Broker and LGBT Activist. A guest who attended the wedding said it held on April 16th and no photos were initially taken. The guest wrote:
